Since 2017, the Interreg North Sea Region 2IMPREZS project has stimulated both behavioural and technical efficient energy saving measures in existing schools through transnational Energy Challenges, reducing energy consumption and thus reducing carbon emissions and cutting energy costs. Due to the success of the 2IMPREZS Energy Challenges, in 2021 the project was awarded additional European funds and extended for an additional 18 months in order to reach more schools in existing and additional regions, develop a digital programme, and continue the considerable reduction in energy consumption and carbon emissions.
